Welcome to Our World of Cinema!

Whangarei Film Society Inc. screens a varied programme of high quality films. These include international festival releases, award winning documentaries, dramas, avant-garde and historic films.

We are an independent not-for-profit film society, and proudly claim to be "the largest littlest film society in the land"! We have an annual subscription of over 500 members, and as a volunteer organisation we are well supported by our local community with audience numbers often over 100 people attending our film sessions.

We have now concluded our 2022 film season and will resume our weekly film nights on Thursday 2 March 2023.
The WFS committee wish to thank all our incredible members and supporters for a great final film night … 199 people came along to enjoy our last film of the year, HALLELUJAH: Leonard Cohen – a Journey, a Song.
We wish you all a very happy and healthy summer.
