Next Screening: Midwinter Break

July 2, 2026 6:00pm // July 9, 2026 8:00pm

Based on the best-selling novel by Bernard MacLaverty, Gerry and Stella are a couple from Northern Ireland who’ve lived in Scotland for over 40 years.

But their life has become predictable. So, on a whim, Stella buys tickets to Amsterdam for them both as an early Christmas gift.

Whilst on the surface, they’re happy, Stella and Gerry are each facing a crisis. Stella’s is one of faith and Gerry is overdue to face his long-held fears.

And a midwinter break offers the chance for both of them to have the chance to relearn what love looks like.

“Midwinter Break is a stirring meditation on faith, commitment and the enduring power of love.” – Rotten Tomatoes
