40-something primary school teacher Antoinette [Laure Calamy], has been eagerly looking forward to a long get-away weekend with her married lover Vladimir [Benjamin Lavernhe], the father of one of her students. However, their plans are upended by his wifes surprise booking of a weeks hiking in the picturesque Cevennes mountains in Southern France. Completely unversed in the ways of the wilderness, the spurned but utterly determined Antoinette impulsively decides to follow them, and paired with an unlikely companion – an obstinate but wise grey donkey named Patrick – discovers much more than she bargained for.
