An Evening with Victor Hugo

24th September, 6pm // 1st October, 8pm

Synopsis

Over the course of many years, Robert Zuchini has built a successful career for himself by performing one man shows about the life and works of Victor Hugo.

But when his estranged daughter, Lisbeth reappears, Robert suddenly needs to step away from the familiar surroundings of his sheltered theatrical existence.

The challenge for Robert is that he derives personal comfort from the ‘male genius’ of Hugo. So, the man he is because of that, is very much at odds with Lisbeth.

But family is greater than literature, so to reconnect with his daughter, Robert will leave his scripted life behind and do his best to live in the “chaos” of the present moment.
