This comedy-drama is based on the life of John Davidson, a Scottish man who was diagnosed with severe Tourettes at age 15.
But it’s the 1980s and, as a result, John is targeted as ‘insane’ by his family and his peers, as he struggles with a condition few had ever witnessed.
It is only in the 1990s when Dottie, a retired nurse understands what John is dealing with that he is able to begin to put a life together for himself.
John’s experiences lead him to campaign for better understanding and acceptance of the condition of Tourettes as an adult, as he finds his life’s purpose.
